Why aren’t you open every day?
Our cinnamon rolls are masterpieces—crafted over a three-day process to achieve the perfection you’ve come to love. We’re not just baking; we’re building flavor, texture, and experience from scratch. That kind of care takes time, and we believe it’s worth the wait.
Why do you close before your posted hours sometimes?
Chef David creates everything fresh each day, and only in quantities that can be made by human hands. We don’t cut corners, freeze dough, or compromise quality to produce more. Once we sell out, that’s it for the day—because you deserve the best, and that’s exactly what we serve.
How many cinnamon rolls do you make a day?
We get this one a lot—but the answer is… it’s proprietary. What we can say is this: between the cinnamon rolls, croissants, scones, breads, cookies, and more—everything is scratch-made, hand-shaped, and baked in the max quantity Chef can make, intentional batches each morning. Our focus is on excellence, not volume.
When do you start selling out of scones, croissants, bread, and cookies?
It really depends on the season, but generally, popular items begin selling out around 8:30am. Early birds really do get the goodies!
What time do people start lining up?
On most days, you’ll start seeing a line form around 6:00am. We’re constantly amazed and humbled by our early risers. That kind of support? We never take it for granted.
Why do you sometimes open after 7am?
Chef starts when it’s dark outside, while everyone is sleeping and before the roosters. While we aim to open on time, real kitchens have real hiccups. Sometimes it’s a flour spill, sometimes a piece of equipment decides to “take a moment.” When that happens, it can delay us a bit. But rest assured, if we open late, it’s only because we’re making sure everything is just right for you.
Why are you first come, first serve only?
As much as we’d love to honor preorders, our made-from-scratch process just doesn’t allow for it. We can’t produce beyond what we know we can do with care and consistency. Every item is handcrafted, and our daily volume is intentionally limited to protect the quality you’ve come to love. First come, first serve helps us stay true to that commitment.
